ATE / STE Project Manager

Position Summary:
Lead the end-to-end development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Special Test Equipment (STE) for advanced electro-optical products—from initial system requirements definition to delivery and integration onto the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end test equipment development projects from characterization to manufacturing release.
  
• Perform full system engineering for test equipment: define architecture, characterize interfaces, design test plans, and create integration/validation strategies.
  
• Drive the development of next-generation test equipment, covering hardware, software, and firmware, while integrating advanced testing technologies.
  
• Translate internal and external customer requirements into clear system specifications, design guidelines, and technical solutions.
  
• Manage subcontractors across electronics, hardware, software, optics, and mechanics—including design reviews, scope management, timelines, and acceptance testing.
  
• Lead the integration, deployment, and ongoing support of new test equipment for company products, working closely with R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  
• Develop advanced test capabilities for new detectors and systems, including measurement methodologies, automated tools, and data analysis pipelines.
  
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams: electronics, software, optics, mechanics, manufacturing, and quality control.
  
• Oversee project planning and control: schedule, budget, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
  

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (specialization in software or embedded systems development – significant advantage).
  
• At least 7 years of experience in the development, integration, and deployment of test equipment (ATE/STE) involving integrated hardware and software.
  
• Experience in system engineering for complex hardware-software systems, including authoring SRS/PRD, specification, and architecture documents.
  
• Proven hands-on background in hardware, software, or firmware development, along with debugging complex multidisciplinary systems.
  
• Proven track record in subcontractor management across diverse technical domains.
  
• Strong project management capabilities leading complex, multi-interface projects.
  
• High autonomy, strong leadership skills, and a broad system-level perspective.
