• We search for an Electronic engineer specializing, and with strong experience, in FPGA programming
• Our group builds specialized electronics and its supporting software for scientific research in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Institute and at collaborating laboratories abroad
• The engineer will work with a small team designing and programming FPGAs for FPGA-based instrumentation for data acquisition, data processing and control of experiments
• The team also contributes to the hardware specifications of the needed FPGA-based instrumentation

השכלה וכישורים נדרשים:

• At least a first degree in Electronic, Computer or Software Engineering
• At least 2 years' experience in FPGA programming
• :Specifically, we require expertise with
• o the VHDL high-level design language
• o Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado tools
• o clock handling, pipelines and multiple clock domains
• :Advantageous: additional FPGA experience with
• o difficult timing closures and floor mapping
• o gigabit transceivers
• o DSP blocks
• :Other advantageous experience
• design of analog and digital electronic boards
• programming micro-controllers
• low-frequency analog electronics
• fast pulse electronics
